Season 4: Breaking Hierarchy

What would it look like to have conversations without titles, experts, or even pre-defined goals? Joacim "Jay" Mattisson brings his Swedish background and perspective to American business and political landscapes, and in the process shows us how a playful approach can make every day life more fun and essential threads of democracy more connected.

Guest: Joacim "Jay" Mattisson is a cross-cultural business communication trainer.

He is hired by Fortune 100 companies to remove frictions and misunderstandings between international branches of the company, leading to more business opportunities, and faster turnarounds. He is a solution finder who brings fresh perspectives to the discussion and creates a trusted communication platform for open dialogue.

For more than 10 years, he has supported Swedish and Nordic companies to enter the U.S. market successfully, through a combination of 'homework', training and simulations.

In his non-profit work, he fosters international relations to make the world more peaceful, prosperous and interconnected.

Most weekends, you can catch him hiking the beautiful trails of Phoenix, Arizona. Or floating down the Salt River in a tube, watching wild horses graze the river banks.
